Where it all starts. Whether your goal is pages or podium, fun for now or fun for life you need a good start. The Core program is where it all starts. This program is for the young snowboarder who is looking to build on the base they already have, who is maybe interested in competing at some point but right now wants to build their skills in all types of snowboarding. The program starts early January with 10 weeks of Saturdays at your local resort with an opportunity to try out competing at a local RBC event.

The Core program provides quality coaching by caring, invested, passionate coaches who are here for your goals.

Age of rider: 9-14

Skill Level: Confident turner on blue runs. Starting to get air. Starting to ride rails. Can get on and off chair lift without help, and does not need the coach on the chair with them. Some interest in competing but not the main focus.

STEP UP SBX program

A step-up is jump that requires skill and determination. It’s not for any old hucker; it’s for someone who is ready, well to step up. This program is an entry to competition program. You are ready for more. More training, more on snow time, more focus, more air. This program will set you up to start on your athletic path in your discipline of interest. Included in the cost is 6 weeks of group dryland training prior to the start of the winter, coaching at 2 competitions, video analysis, goal setting, and maybe a little bit of fun.

Step-Up will have an SBX program in the first year and expand to a freestyle program in the future. This program will continue to develop into a high performance program in the future.

Dryland will start in November, with on snow commencing as soon as ski hills are ready. Athletes will have a 4 day camp over Christmas break, and will have a varying weekend schedule based around training purposes. Coaching will include race, freestyle and free-ride snowboard skills, as well as nutrition, hydration and equipment preparation.

TRANSITION Freestyle Program

Freestyle Program includes 24 sessions to prepare athletes for freestyle competition.

December will include an on-snow meet and greet day and an off-snow clinic on December 8th and 15th.

The core of the program will start on January 10th and run until March 22nd on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at EdelweissValley.

Athletes will be able to be coached for 2 competitions of choice at one local and one out-of-town event based on the coaches’ recommendation.
